1 John 4:8
"God is love." (Many say, "Yes, but God is just, and His justice outweighs His love." - B.S.)
"Lost" is a DECLARATION of "Ownership" - "For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost." (Was He successful?)
"All the nations and the Gentiles will praise God for His mercy!" - - His relentless love and unconditional mercy creates PRAISE IN EVERY HEART - not punishment or so called "justice."
"And EVERYONE will see God's salvation."
"Even the righteousness of God through (the) faith of Jesus Christ toward ALL and upon ALL those believing; for there is no difference." [Seems that Paul is saying righteousness is imputed to all and there's no difference between believers and non-believers. It's Christ's faithfulness - not our decisions or faith that saves.]
"To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the UNFATHOMABLE RICHES OF CHRIST." [Unfathomable Riches! Seems that Paul is making it clear God is not limited to only saving those who "get it right" in this life.] NOTE: This is Paul's very definition of "the Gospel" - The Unfathomable Riches or Immeasurable Wealth of Christ. NO MENTION of Decisional Regeneration.
"Heaven must welcome Him until the times of the RESTORATION OF ALL, which God spoke about by the mouth of His holy prophets from the beginning."
Isaiah 53:5, 6
"But He was pierced through for OUR transgressions, He was crushed for OUR iniquities; The chastening for OUR well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging WE are healed. ALL of US like sheep have gone astray, EACH OF US has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the iniquity of US ALL to fall on Him."
"Likewise, Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of HUMANITY, and after that He will appear a second time. This time He will not deal with sin, but He will save those who eagerly wait for Him."
"Because of this, it was right that He would become like His brethren in all things, the He would be a compassionate and trustworthy High Priest in what is God's, and would make atonement for THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE."
"He can deal gently with the ignorant and misguided, since He Himself also is beset with weakness."
"But Jesus was saying, 'Father, FORGIVE THEM; for they do not know what they are doing." And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves." [Were these men forgiven? If so, what did they do to deserve it? Perhaps forgiveness is 100% by God's mercy - not triggered by our decision. Perhaps our "belief" follows God's mercy.]
Isaiah 45:23b, 24
"For EVERY knee shall be bowed to Me, and EVERY tongue shall swear. Therefore shall He say: In the Lord are my justices and empire; they shall come to Him, and ALL that resist Him shall be confounded."
"Who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, that it may be conformed to the body of His glory, according to the working whereby He is able even to subject ALL things unto Himself."
"For the bread of God is the One who comes down from Heaven and gives life to the WORLD."
"Through the blood of His Son, we are set free from our sins. God forgives our failures because of His overflowing kindness." [Not by our 'decision' - We are redeemed by His grace and mercy. It's 100% by Him.]
Romans 8:38, 39
"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
"Making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His purpose, which He set forth in Christ as a plan for the fulness of time, to unite ALL things in Him, things in Heaven and things on earth. In Him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works ALL things according to the counsel of His will."
Colossians 1:20 (Message Bible)
"Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe - people and things, animals and atoms - get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood that poured down from the Cross."
"And the angel said to them, 'Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for ALL THE PEOPLE.'"
"for He is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked."
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love and mercy never end." [How could anyone be lost if God's love never comes to an end?]
"God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean." - Peter, after the resurrection, declares that NO ONE is any longer unclean.
"This is the message of Good News for the people of Israel--that there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of ALL."
Interesting that Jesus tells us that we need to be born again.
Consider Two Things:
1) He does not tell us HOW to be born again.
2) Birth is not our doing.
No one chose to be born. You had nothing to do with it.
Could it be that being born "again"
likewise, has nothing to do with us?
Man's biggest problem is death. Death results from the curse brought about by Adam and Eve's sin. Our lineage is the real problem. - - We are born into Adam's family line.
HOW DO WE GET OUT OF ADAM'S LINEAGE?
HOW ARE WE BORN AGAIN?
Paul declares that we are taken out of Adam and placed into Christ (the Second Adam.) Read the 5th and 6th chapters of Romans.
"For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous."
1 Corinthians 15:22
"For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive."
1st Peter 1:2-4
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.”
“Even when we were dead in our trespasses, God made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”
that we must be born again
that we have been born again?
Answer: Jesus' death on the cross and
His mighty words,
"It is finished."
